| Guest Book Archive I found your site most interesting and very informative. I feel I know so much more about the area and Scottish mining. It is important to hand down this social history for future generations to understand the hardship these people endured to make an honest living. Valerie Chaney I stumbled upon your site quite by accident and was delighted to find information on Helen NIVEN & her husband William SEATH. I am a NIVEN researcher and I just love these little unexpected nuggets of information out there. You have put a lot of time and dedication into your project. Well done! Cheers, Violet (nee Niven) Hecnar in Canada Great website Craig - it just gets better, looks great - keep up the good work. Audrey in Leicester (Reid/Seath/Grays - Burntisland) Hi Craig, My maiden name is Seath and my father's name is also Craig Seath. We live in Australia and I think (I will find out more now!). I just thought i'd write and inform you there's a page on the networking site 'facebook' for the 'seath clan'. It's interesting to see Seaths from all over the world. Just thought it may interest you, unless you're already aware of it. Thanks for a very intersting read (and a kick up the butt to find out more!) I am moving to The Netherlands for the next year so will attempt to cross over and visit some of my family's heritage. Thanks again, Trina Henderson (Australia) 31st January 2008.
Hi, What a suprise to find such an interesting page on the web. I'm from Armadale, West Lothian. My Father was Alexander Barclay Seath, I Can't remember my Grandfathers first name sadly. Anyway, Congrats on the awesome site, I was unaware that the Seath name was so widespread David Seath (Armadale) 17th December 2007 Nice one, thanks a lot great site, Stuart Seath. (Germany) 16th December 2007 I found your site while trawlingfor Fife Pit info. (great site - well done!) Just dropping a line to let you know my next door neighbour in Ballingry Crescent is a George Seath. Don't know too much about him except that he is now retired (approx 66 y/o?. He is ex Black Watch, and a Kirk Elder in Ballingry Church. He may be a relation of yours,,,maybe not, but thought I would let you know of another Seath and his whereabouts. Best Regards. Dougie Smith Ballingry Fife. 13th December 2007 Came across this site while looking for Fife Mining Deaths for info. for a Family Tree. The site is very interesting and informative and well laid out with ease of access. Thoroughly enjoyable reading, helped by the layout. Got so ingrossed reading, I forgot what I was actually supposed to be doing - (Truly Captured) A pleasure, Anne Barr (Glenrothes) 12 November 2007 My maiden name is Seath, daughter of Robert Farmer Seath (1910 - 1986), granddaughter of another R.F.Seath (1876 - 1954),who started a tailoring business (which became a draper`s shop , also stocking china, carpets and Nairn`s linoleum) at 99 High Street, Leslie. He had moved from Kirkcaldy, first leasing (in the first years of the 20th century) then buying the properties. There are family graves in Leslie cemetery). I believe one of the Abbotshall graves is an ancestor - the first one photographed on your site. I`m in the process of researching my Kirkcaldy ancestors. Your site has made me deyermined to get back to it! Jennifer Wilson 23 Oct 2007 Hello, I just wanted to write to thank you for the really interesting information on the web-site about Rothiemurchus Church and Seath Mor. I have been researching my family history for a number of years and am a native of Strathspey, but had never been to the Church at Rothiemurchus as most of my ancestors were from the Duthil/Abernethy area. I recently found a few who had married natives of Rothiemurchus so I thought it would be worth a look around. What a wonderful place! The Doune was just beautiful as was the Church and Churchyard. I love local history and remembered hearing about the grave with the stones that one shouldn't move... or else! So when I saw the grave with the iron bars over it I knew this had to be it. On returning home I wanted to see if I could find out more about Seath Mor on the internet and found this site with lots of information. Thank you very much for such an interesting read, Kind Regards, Jennifer Duncan (Tomatin, Inverness-shire) 20 Oct 2007
